Chassis Fabrication:
Aluminum Hulled Boat - This post cleat broke off the hull of a boat and required to be sleeved and welded to be repaired. I fabricated an extra support bracket to bolt through part of the deck. An interesting project to test my aluminum welding skills.

'88 Toyota Pickup - My client wanted fender flares and a much stronger front bumper installed on his Toyota pickup. Minimal sheet metal work and some bracket modification for the bumper and this one is back on the road/trails.

Restoration:
'41 Dodge WC - Picked up a nail on the road, to my dismay. One of the dangers of using your coolest rig as a daily driver! I thought about going old school and patching the tube, but after all the work it took to take the tire off the rim I chickened out and replaced the tube.

About - Definitely the largest metalwork project I have undertaken, the new shop project is the main accomplishment of the year. Huge thanks to Scott G the foreman, Chris D the support labor, and all the other hired crew that helped bolt together and raise the barn - Ivan, Roman, Zach, Ricky, Angelo, the list goes on and on!

'77 Cadillac Seville - A '77-'79 Cadillac Seville has a lot of parts that aren't used on any other GM car in production. This includes the fuel tank! When the fuel tank started to leak from rust damage, I had to find a solution. Luckily I talked to the owner of a Cadillac junkyard on the east coast, who told me a Camaro gas tank from the same vintage had a similar shape. The top of the tank (where the fuel gauge and sending unit attach) is different and would have to be modified, as is the filler neck. Overall the two tanks are very similar, which allowed me to cut the top of the old tank off and weld it onto the new tank. The original Cadillac filler neck was removed and soldered in place of the Camaro filler neck. I also had to remove the original fuel pump pickup baffle from the inside bottom of the old tank and solder it into the new tank. I'm glad I found a knowledgeable source before I started this project!

'72 Dodge Dart - This car is actually a Plymouth Scamp, but it's being built as a Dart. The last 20" of the left side frame rail had rusted away. My client hired me to fabricate the frame rail, tail pan, and trunk floor patches. The spring shackle mount was bought aftermarket, but I fabricated everything else.

'98 Lincoln Town Truck - It's not everyday that a client requests a full custom! Uncle Nick decided that the rear seats in his town car were eating up too much trunk space. Lincoln Town Truck is the solution! The rear doors were welded shut, the roof was cut and moved forward about 25", and the bed was fabricated from the inside of an F150 truck bed. There are still some window trim pieces that need to be made, but so far this has been a very fun project that I think is turning out great! Big thanks to Brandon for help cutting off the roof.

About - Taking a break from metalwork to start building a new shop! With a 40'x60' footprint, it will be a major upgrade in shop space. The concrete slab is poured and the metal Quonset hut building has arrived. Huge thanks to Scott G and Brandon for the help, Mike and crew for the concrete work, Tyler for the site prep, and to my Dad and Tom for being general laborers! Stay tuned.

'41 Dodge WC - This truck doesn't get much sheet metal work done to it, since the original builders did such a good job making it a unique custom truck some 60+ years ago. Sometimes it needs new metal though! This is one of the reflectors on the rear of the truck, made with glass marbles as the reflecting surface. I decided to practice my skills and fabricate a new one from scratch. It weighs about 5 lbs. heavier than a modern plastic reflector.

'82 Jeep CJ7 - My clients want to have a solid Jeep again, so it's time to replace the rusted metal . New tub sides, and repairs to the floor and uni-body frame rails are underway. The rear of the tub and front fenders will need a little attention as well. I purchased the tub side panels, but I fabricated all the other panels.

'41 Ford Truck - Door gaps need to look good before I chop the cab, and I can't set door gaps with rusty doors! The bottom hinges had rusted away from both doors and pillars, requiring extensive repairs. Up next are the rear cab corners, and lower cowl area, where the front fenders attach.

'41 Ford Truck - New arrival, '41 Ford truck. Not much to look at now, but that hasn't stopped me yet. The hood, fenders, and running boards have been removed from this truck and will be put on a '46 Ford truck with a solid frame. The cabs are the same between '41 and '46, but the '41 front end is much nicer to look at. Its never too early to start the next Kustom project.

'38 Dodge Coupe - The coupe needs a bit lower roof line, but for now a visor will be a good compromise. I borrowed a '51 Pontiac visor from Chris that had the look I was going for, and used it as inspiration to make a custom one that fits just right.

'65 Ford Ranchero - It was time for this awesome Ranchero to get some new floors. My client hired me to fabricate the floor pan patch panels since my prices were comparable to handmade panels offered through the larger suppliers. No shipping costs or delays either. Even though my work will be covered by a carpet, it will add some more strength and miles to a cool little truck!

'38 Dodge Coupe - 2nd in the Custom category at the 2019 North Coast Car Show! I had a fun day showing the progress I've made on the coupe since last year. The dashboard is now bare metal, and I have begun painting the inside. Thanks to Uncle Nick for the support, and thanks to Chris Douglass for a great hand painted sign.
